Senior Health, Safety and Fire Advisor

Are you a seasoned health and safety professional looking to take on a challenging role within the Ministry of Justice?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health, Safety and Fire Advisor to join our team in London, working closely with HM Prison Send and HMYOI Feltham. As a key member of our PSP HSF team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and fire matters across a small group of establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance on health, safety, and fire matters to establishment managers and governors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and fire policies and procedures across the cluster.
  • Manage the risk register and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Chartered membership of IOSH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality health, safety, and fire services.

The salary range for this role is £56,221 - £61,843 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including annual leave, pension scheme, and training opportunities.
