About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at the McLaren Performance Hub (MPH). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality Occupational Health Service to our entire Racing Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Occupational Health Service, including new starter screening, health surveillance, immunisations, and annual wellness screening.
  • Manage surveillance screening escalation pathways and contribute to the health and wellbeing of all employees.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety amongst employees and assess and reduce clinical hazards and risks in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with MSK and mental health teams to design and deliver health promotion activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees, including those with diverse or complex presentations, and develop client-centred objectives and plans.
  • Provide clear and impartial advice to managers and employees to optimise health at work, reduce sickness absence, and prevent work-related ill health and injury.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and identify specific and general ergonomic issues to present solutions.
  • Advise on safe systems of work, personal protective equipment, environment safety, and employee health surveillance.
  • Coordinate clinical interventions and follow-up monitoring reviews relating to blood-borne virus exposure and suspected occupational dermatitis.
  • Support the development and review of policies, procedures, and standards with reference to clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Occupational Health Specialist Nurse (Degree level/Diploma level or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of operational service management in a health setting at a senior level, including staff and change management.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Expert clinical skills and experience as an OH specialist practitioner, including health surveillance and health protection programmes.
  • Knowledge of potential workplace hazards, safe systems of work, and health surveillance.
  • Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
