Position Overview

The Corporate Communications team at Apollo is responsible for all communications, corporate branding, and corporate marketing activities worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong writing and media relations skills, exceptional project management abilities, and sound judgment to join our London office. This role will focus on supporting Apollo's European Platform, which manages approximately one-quarter of the firm's assets under management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team and business leaders across various divisions to develop and execute strategic communications plans aligned with broader corporate objectives.
  • Provide media relations support, including proactive pitching, transaction coverage, and issue management.
  • Create compelling content for both internal and external audiences, such as press releases, briefings, case studies, and other materials.
  • Plan and execute key external engagements, including conferences and speaking opportunities. Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Collaborate on tracking and distributing materials related to analytics and other deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in communications (corporate or agency) with expertise in financial, transactional, and corporate communications, as well as media relations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills; proven project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments, build trust, and effectively collaborate with others.
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible and adaptable approach to efficiently manage tight deadlines. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in managing reputational risk and supporting crisis communications.
  • Understanding of communicating across diverse platforms, content types, and technologies.
  • Experience developing metrics to quantify results and measure team effectiveness.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, a willingness to learn, and a strong team player attitude are essential.
  • Unwavering professional and personal integrity.
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Experience in the investment management industry, particularly private capital, is highly desirable.
