Current Opportunities
We are seeking experienced Environmental Planners at both Senior and Senior Associate levels to enhance our team. With a flexible work arrangement that includes both remote and office-based options, we encourage applications from candidates across the UK.

Our growth trajectory supports a diverse range of projects, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. We are engaged in innovative initiatives such as carbon capture, renewable energy projects, hydrogen development, and transmission & distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
For Senior and Principal roles, you will:
  • Facilitate the planning and execution of energy and infrastructure projects while providing expert guidance to clients throughout the development process.
  • Oversee Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening and scoping, and prepare comprehensive Environmental Statements, ensuring the quality of technical contributions.
For Associates and Senior Associates, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading environmental teams in the planning and delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Managing EIA processes and preparing relevant environmental and planning documentation.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to foster client relationships and mentor junior team members, contributing to the overall growth of the department.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Extensive experience in environmental planning, particularly within the energy sector, and be either chartered or on the path to chartership.
  • A comprehensive understanding of environmental challenges and regulatory frameworks, including various consenting processes.
  • Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing project finances, along with strong communication skills.
Your ability to mentor and guide colleagues will be essential, demonstrating adaptability to meet the role's demands. Stantec offers flexible working arrangements, accommodating both full-time and part-time positions.
