We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our innovative Capital Markets production operations team at FIS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our clients in both private and public cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in day-to-day activities of operating various production environments to maintain high stability, reduce Service Downtime, and improve Quality of Service for FIS clients.
- Work with bleeding-edge technology, coding, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and supporting various systems.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the team for changes and incidents, including participating in incident triage calls and following up on root cause analysis.
- Configure and deploy product releases into production and verify for quality work.
- Participate in data center and infrastructure change activities.
- Develop monitoring and alerting for various application production environments.
- Help identify repetitive non-value-adding tasks and automate them using coding and scripting.
- Actively participate and contribute in team meetings and team-building activities.
- Strong knowledge and experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server.
- Strong Microsoft PowerShell experience.
- Site Reliability Engineer will focus on scalability, high availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications.
- Proven experience and knowledge of designing, building, and supporting application infrastructure in a private and Azure public cloud.
- Change management experience on ITSM tools like Service Now.
- Experience initiating and leading or participating in the resolution of incidents.
- Experience developing and implementing effective monitoring on standard tools similar to Splunk, Dynatrace, and Azure cloud-native monitoring tools.
- Knowledge and skills to comfortably work on Windows, SQL Server.
- Ability to query, script, and deploy in Microsoft SQL Server.
- To be a self-starter and someone who can run with minimal supervision.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing production monitoring.
- Experience and good understanding of networking.
- Hands-on PowerShell, MS SQL programming experience.
- General knowledge of financial applications.
- LaserFiche experience.
