Job Opportunity: Technical Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth in the Stormwater Management sector.

About the Role

This is a field sales position with a leading European manufacturer looking to expand its presence in the UK stormwater management market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, with experience in specification sales, contractor relationships, and merchant networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building a strong leads pipeline and network of specification, contractor, and merchant contacts
  • Providing technical consulting and pre-marketing support to target groups
  • Ensuring projects are robustly managed from inception to completion
  • Delivering customer project training and workshops
Requirements
  • Technical field sales experience is preferred, but a technical background in sustainable drainage, water management, or stormwater management with a desire to transition into sales is also considered
  • Field sales experience in civil engineering, drainage, water management, or infrastructure is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the specification sales process, including project management from inception to completion
  • IT skills, with the ability to create sales plans
  • A self-motivated and energetic individual, capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines
