Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned and proficient Lead Risk Analyst to become an integral part of our innovative team in Bristol. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the ongoing enhancement of our proprietary cyber risk assessment model, Cybertooth. We are looking for an individual with a solid foundation in constructing large-scale stochastic models and high-performance scientific computing, alongside extensive knowledge in statistical analysis and probability theory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and refine Cybertooth, our proprietary cyber risk evaluation system, ensuring its reliability and efficacy in assessing cyber threats.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to integrate new data sources and methodologies into Cybertooth.
  • Perform advanced statistical evaluations, industry assessments, and reporting to support cyber risk analysis.
  • Improve the computational efficiency and scalability of Cybertooth simulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in cyber risk measurement, data science, and high-performance computing to continually improve our system's capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant domain, such as risk modeling, actuarial science, quantitative finance, or data analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing large-scale stochastic models and high-performance scientific computing.
  • Practical expertise in statistical analysis and probability.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly utilized in scientific computing and data analysis, including Python, Spark, CUDA, and SQL. Familiarity with Databricks is a plus. Expert-level knowledge in scientific Python is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in cyber insurance or cybersecurity is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience.
