Job Title: Head of Operations and Development (South Region)

Walsingham Support is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our supported living and residential care services in London and the surrounding area.

As the Head of Operations and Development, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of our services, driving continuous improvement, and managing significant budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the operations team, setting clear objectives and ensuring the successful execution of day-to-day activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant laws and standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Effectively manage resources, including staff, and budgets, to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the people we support, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Address concerns and feedback promptly, working to enhance overall satisfaction scores.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery.
  • Implement best practices and keep abreast of industry trends to drive operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Ideal Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the social care industry
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Head of Operations and Development Salary: Up to £58,000 per annum
