About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team specializing in Child and Family Domestic Abuse. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and guidance to children, young people, and their families impacted by domestic abuse.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of vulnerable individuals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, police officers, and healthcare professionals, to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Promote trauma-informed approaches and systemic interventions to address the complex needs of families affected by domestic abuse.
  • Lead and mentor a team of practitioners, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field.
