Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physiotherapy Specialist to become a part of our vibrant and supportive team, gaining invaluable experience within a Hospital Foundation Trust.
Key Highlights of the Role:
This position provides the chance to operate in both clinical and community environments, evaluating and managing patients with a diverse range of Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Referrals are accepted from various departments including Orthopaedics, MSK Triage, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Occupational Health, and General Practitioners.
Staff members will have the opportunity to gain exposure in multiple MSK specialties, such as: Hands, Shoulders & Elbow, Rheumatology, Spinal Care, and Lower Limb Rehabilitation (Gym). There may also be chances for staff to remain in specific rotations.
Essential Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Substantial postgraduate experience in MSK and familiarity with NHS operations.
- Continued Professional Development (CPD) and experience in Musculoskeletal services.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
Main Responsibilities:
All team members will have access to regular in-service training tailored to their current rotation, weekly clinical reasoning sessions, and ongoing mentorship from Senior Clinicians, including First Contact Practitioners and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. Opportunities for involvement in service enhancement, audits, and clinical governance are available, and all staff participate in the appraisal process.
There is a chance to pursue MSc modules through Bradford University, with some modules taught by our Advanced Practitioners. We support a team of First Contact Practitioners, providing opportunities to collaborate with clinic staff and undertake necessary training for FCP registration through either the Portfolio or MSc pathway.
