Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transport Liaison Officer to play a crucial role in bridging the gap between hospitals and our operations team. As a key player in patient flow, you will be integrated within central patient hubs and involved in site and bed meetings to understand demands placed upon the hospital.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide assistance with patient flows in the hospital environment.
  • Be the point of contact for escalation for designated trusts, handling patient queries, risk assessments, and other issues.
  • Collaborate with bed managers and EMED managers to ensure seamless communication and operational responsiveness.
  • Attend meetings on an ad-hoc basis to maintain positive relationships with hospital wards, outpatient units, and discharge lounges.
  • Forecast and identify peaks and troughs in demand, ensuring operational responsiveness.
  • Deal with patient enquiries and questions as they arise.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Experience of working in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • A thorough working knowledge of Non-Emergency Patient Transport services.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise your workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to make decisions based on impact assessment.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
