Position: Junior Culinary Specialist

Role Overview

As a Junior Culinary Specialist, you will work closely with our kitchen team to create delicious meals that cater to the nutritional needs of our students.

Your role will require exceptional presentation, organizational, and communication skills, along with a genuine enthusiasm for food and service.

  • Support the Head Chef in all facets of meal preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of all meals align with the company’s standards and client expectations.
  • Oversee and mentor kitchen assistants, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, considering dietary needs, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal produce.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to deliver special events, themed meals, and other culinary projects.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to continually improve menu offerings and the overall dining experience.
  • Encourage a positive work atmosphere by showcasing leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork.

Work Schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

We are seeking a skilled Junior Culinary Specialist with a background in high-quality food service to enhance our culinary offerings.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented Junior Culinary Specialist to establish themselves within our contract catering company and contribute to elevating the standards of educational catering.



Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role within a contract catering environment or educational institution is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Enthusiastic and fun-loving personality.
