About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Performance Specialist to join our Performance Analytics Team at M&G. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-level performance figures and analytics to support our investment management activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Attribution and Analysis: Responsible for performance attribution, contribution, and risk analysis, reflecting the investment process and ensuring accurate and timely data delivery to stakeholders.
  • Data Quality and Reporting: Ensures data quality and reporting of analysis of underlying investments in portfolios, reducing data verification and dependency on others to correct data issues.
  • Performance Analytics Development: Develops performance analytics reflecting the investment process for use by Distribution and within client reporting presentations.
  • Team Support and Collaboration: Appropriately supports the Manager and the Head of Performance, contributing to group theorising and testing of new performance analytics ideas and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Performance Measurement Expertise: A solid understanding of performance attribution methodologies, including Fixed Income Return Attribution models and Brinson-based Performance Attribution.
  • Investment Product Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of investment products and performance measurement techniques, such as performance objective measures.
  • Technical Skills: Strong performance measurement, ex post risk, and attribution experience, with a desire to develop analytics that enhance the client experience. Familiarity with data visualisation tools and programming languages is a benefit.
  • Qualifications: A degree in numerical or economics-related fields, such as Economics, Maths, Actuarial Science, or Statistics, is beneficial. Performance-related qualifications, such as CIPM or CFA, or working towards equivalent qualifications are desirable.
