Role Overview
The Performance Reporting Analyst position is an essential component of the Performance Reporting Team, reporting directly to the Performance Reporting Manager. This role is crucial for the generation of performance reports, data cleansing, and enhancement, as well as the analysis of existing workflows and the evaluation of new automation opportunities. The contributions made in this role will significantly support the ongoing process improvement initiatives led by the Performance Team and overseen by the Head of Performance & Client Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Jupiter Fund range and the associated investment methodologies.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships across various departments, including Investment Management, Client Group, and Risk.
- Take charge of performance process mapping within the team.
- Assess the current offerings of the team and explore efficiencies, prioritizing automated solutions where feasible.
- Actively engage in firm-wide and team projects with a focus on enhancing efficiencies and automation.
- Communicate complex issues clearly and effectively to appropriate forums and senior management.
- Assist in the production and delivery of ad hoc performance-related reports and analyses across all asset classes and fund types.
- Contribute to the team's business-as-usual deliverables while identifying opportunities for automation.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to optimize the utilization and presentation of performance data.
- Maximize the capabilities of all systems utilized, including Aladdin, FactSet, Morningstar, Bloomberg, and Statpro.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory directives and industry best practices impacting Performance Reporting and analysis.
- Support the management of relationships with independent third-party data analytics providers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of performance reports and analyses to accommodate new products and requirements.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in asset management.
- Strong knowledge across various asset types.
- Proficient in analyzing and testing large datasets.
- Familiarity with performance attribution models.
- Experience with quantitative systems such as Aladdin, FactSet, and Bloomberg.
- A genuine interest in investment and market dynamics.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Proficient in IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong aptitude for technology.
- Ideally, familiarity with coding languages such as SQL and/or Python.
- This role adheres to the Conduct Rules established by the FCA.
