Role Summary
The Performance Reporting Analyst position is integral to the Performance Reporting Team, reporting directly to the Performance Reporting Manager. This role is crucial for the creation of performance reports, data cleansing, process analysis, and the evaluation of automation opportunities. The responsibilities undertaken will significantly contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives led by the Head of Performance & Client Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Jupiter Fund range and associated investment methodologies.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across various departments including Investment Management, Client Group, and Risk.
- Oversee performance process mapping within the team.
- Assess current team offerings and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements through automation.
- Contribute actively to firm-wide projects and initiatives focused on enhancing efficiencies and automation.
- Clearly communicate complex issues to appropriate forums and senior management.
- Assist in the production and delivery of performance-related reports and analyses across all asset classes and fund types.
- Support the team’s ongoing deliverables while identifying potential automation enhancements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize the utilization and presentation of performance data.
- Maximize the capabilities of all utilized systems including Aladdin, FactSet, Morningstar, Bloomberg, and Statpro.
- Stay informed on relevant regulatory directives and industry best practices impacting Performance Reporting and analysis.
- Manage relationships with third-party data analytics providers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of performance reports to support new products and requirements.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in asset management.
- Strong understanding of various asset types.
- Proficient in analyzing and testing large datasets.
- Familiarity with performance attribution models.
- Knowledge of quantitative systems such as Aladdin, FactSet, and Bloomberg.
- Genuine interest in investment and market dynamics.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Proficient in IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with coding languages such as SQL and/or Python is advantageous.
- This role adheres to the Conduct Rules established by the FCA.
