Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Performance Coach to join our team at the Canal & River Trust. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing the performance of our face-to-face fundraising teams, ensuring they meet and exceed their targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and develop the performance of multiple face-to-face fundraising teams, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets.
  • Act as a hands-on fundraiser, leading by example and demonstrating the Trust's values and behaviours.
  • Generate income through contactless donations and signing up Friends, while reinforcing our culture of health and safety and embedding compliance standards.
  • Provide phone coaching and in-person coaching to support fundraisers in meeting their targets and KPIs.
  • Identify training requirements and deliver on and off-field training and coaching to grow income.
  • Support the Regional F2F Fundraising Manager in delivering the regional fundraising strategy, including recruiting and onboarding new fundraisers.
  • Undertake mystery shopping and internal quality control auditing to ensure high standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
Requirements
  • Significant experience of working in face-to-face fundraising, with a track record of successful individual fundraising and team leading.
  • Experience of coaching and developing fundraisers to improve their performance and meet targets.
  • Ability to work to self-managed targets and be adaptable and flexible to support a geographical region of the network.
  • Quick and agile approach to reacting to problems or challenges.
  • Confidence to approach the public, storytelling, and making an ask for funding.
  • Ability to use IT systems, such as an iPad and contactless devices, proficiently.
  • Good writing and IT skills to support the analysis of performance management.
