Quality Engineer
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a quality strategy that aligns with the program's objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met through robust internal processes and engineering feedback.
- Lead the continuous improvement of an agile quality management system and team.
- Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide guidance to the inspection team and promote adherence to quality best practices.
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the manufacture of safety-critical parts meets customer requirements.
- Audit suppliers for approval and performance assessment of both new and existing suppliers.
- Develop strategies to ensure visual carbon composites meet customer requirements with a right-first-time mentality.
- Utilize 8D principles for effective problem resolution and facilitate the resolution of complex, cross-functional issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop product specifications aligned with process capability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of client or customer-facing experience.
- Proven and skilled use of CAD, with CATIA v5 preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawing requirements, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
