Senior Practitioner Opportunity at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust

We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Senior Practitioner at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing evidence-based treatments, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with mental health needs, including those with neurodevelopmental issues.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Supervise and support a team of mental health professionals, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, including the Children's Act, Mental Health Act, and mental capacity regulations.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a core profession (Social Worker, Mental Health Nursing, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology)
  • Full registration with the appropriate professional body
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health presentations
  • Experience in providing evidence-based mental health interventions
  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Ability to travel across the region

Desirable Skills:

  • Multi-agency working experience
  • Assessment, formulation, risk management, and safety planning
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
