Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at Springfield Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for performing the scrub role in Consultant-led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism. You will work across a range of specialties, including orthopaedics, and will be required to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the scrub role in Consultant-led surgeries, maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Work across a range of specialties, including orthopaedics, and maintain a high level of expertise in these areas.
- Collaborate with other members of the theatre team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures.
Requirements
- NMC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner.
- Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
- Ability to work flexibly and positively, with a warm, considerate, and empathetic character.
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) desirable but not essential.
