Senior Operating Department Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operating Department Practitioner to join our Theatre Team at Ramsay Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and services in a fast-paced operating theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Operating Department Practitioners to ensure seamless delivery of surgical services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement measures to minimize risks and ensure patient safety
- Monitor and maintain high standards of infection control and asepsis
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures
Requirements
- NMC/HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions
- ALS/EPALS certificate (desirable)
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (desirable)
- Orthopaedic scrub experience (desirable)
