GSL Education is currently seeking a qualified educator with a background in supporting young individuals with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Our organization is well-regarded in the region for our commitment to professionalism and personalized service.

The educational institution is situated in Wolverhampton, conveniently accessible via various transportation methods. The school is in search of a dedicated candidate to work full-time across all key stages, with experience in Key Stage 1, 2, 3, and 4. Although the school currently accommodates 20 students, there are plans for expansion in the upcoming academic year.

The ideal candidate should possess significant experience as an SEN Teacher, particularly in addressing the needs of young learners facing mental health challenges and behavioral difficulties stemming from their backgrounds. There is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored Learning Plans and schedules for students.
  • Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and assess students effectively.
  • Support colleagues in enhancing students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Establish criteria for evaluating success in students experiencing Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD) that affect their learning.
  • Monitor student progress and collect data to inform teaching practices.
  • Conduct dynamic and interactive lessons.
  • Identify necessary resources to ensure high-quality subject delivery.
  • Teach students aged 11 to 18 years.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Educators must hold, or be willing to pursue, QTS/QTLS.
  • Tutors should possess a degree or equivalent and be open to obtaining a teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and managing behavioral challenges.
  • Passionate about alternative educational approaches.
  • Committed to the holistic development of students.
  • Eager to introduce innovative ideas and creativity in the classroom.
  • Dedicated to positively impacting students' lives.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum, particularly in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Background knowledge in Science education is essential.
