**Job Summary**

Thorn Baker Industrial is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a team of warehouse operatives in a fast-paced industrial environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations and achieve team objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective stock control and stock management systems to ensure safe and efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload vehicles, move stock around the warehouse, and locate stock in racking areas.
  • Manage computer systems to update paperwork, stock information, and respond to emails.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure warehouse operatives are competent in all aspects of their duties.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift certificate (in-house training not accepted).
  • Previous experience as a team leader or senior warehouse operative is preferred.
  • Good level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Competence with computer systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
