**Job Summary**

Thorn Baker Group is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a team of warehouse operatives in the LE3 area of Leicester. This is a temp to perm position, with the expectation of permanent employment based on performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a small team of warehouse operatives responsible for incoming goods, storage areas, and dispatching services to customers.
  • Report to the Warehouse Manager and ensure the team is trained and competent in all aspects of warehouse duties.
  • Ensure stock control and stock management are done safely and effectively.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload vehicles, move stock around the warehouse, and locate stock in racking areas.
  • Update paperwork, stock information, and respond to emails using computer systems.
  • Work Monday to Thursday pm and Friday pm, with a salary of £12.35 for the initial 12-week training period, increasing to £13.67 with a team leader bonus payment.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
  • A valid counterbalance forklift certificate (in-house training not accepted).
  • Previous warehouse team leader or senior warehouse operative experience is preferred.
  • Good level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Competence with computer systems.
  • Looking for a permanent job opportunity.
