Job Title: Operational Innovations Director/Senior Manager

At Brainkind, we are seeking an exceptional Operational Innovations Director/Senior Manager to lead our neurological and brain injury operational services. This is a critical role that requires a strategic and operational leader who can drive excellence in service delivery, quality, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust strategy for Brainkind's operations, ensuring financial viability and recognition as a leading service provider.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to optimize occupancy levels and develop plans to increase referrals and service delivery.
  • Translate innovative strategies into growth by planning, adapting, and mobilizing new services, and delivering benefits defined in business cases.
  • Lead, direct, motivate, and engage operational and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring and auditing review systems are in place, and work with the Quality Assurance function to embed an integrated performance and accountability framework.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, maximizing resources to deliver high-quality care and support in the most cost-effective manner.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate business focus.
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity while under workload and timescale pressures.
  • Ability to develop a culture that empowers frontline staff, devolves decision making to its lowest level, is risk aware, and encourages creativity and continuous learning.
  • Ability to think strategically, having had experience in a senior management role, and work effectively as part of a wider Senior management role.
  • Evidence of delivering against service delivery targets while maintaining high-quality services.
  • Significant experience of senior accountability for operational or clinical services within the NHS or relevant non-NHS roles.
  • Clear understanding of national health policy.
  • Experience of commissioning Brain Injury and/or Community Services.
