Crane Engineer - Manufacturing

We are seeking a skilled Crane Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturing provider, in their expanding team.

About the Role

As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance of all types of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Investigating and repairing a variety of overhead crane and hoist components in various customer locations, requiring strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of heavy industrial plant mechanics.
  • A full UK driving license to facilitate travel to customer sites.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective customer relations and communication.
  • The ability to work at heights responsibly and safely.
Technical Skills

You will require:

  • Electrical experience with 3-phase 415vac motors, contactor control circuits, and frequency speed/inverter control devices.
  • Mechanical experience with medium to large drive couplings, brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience with overhead crane maintenance and inspection routines, as well as industrial radio control systems.
  • Knowledge of vacuum lifting equipment, manipulators, electromagnets, or other material handling equipment.
