Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Crane Maintenance Specialist to join our client's expanding team in Leeds. As a Crane Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, and modernization of all types of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and checking electrical connections.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering.
  • Heavy industrial plant mechanic experience is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Good interpersonal skills for customer relations.
  • The ability to work at heights responsibly.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with overhead crane maintenance and inspection routines is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial radio control systems.
  • Knowledge/experience of vacuum lifting equipment, manipulators, electromagnets, or other material handling equipment.
  • Positive attitude towards health and safety.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to overcome technical challenges.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as per business requirements.
