About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Engineer to join our client's expanding team in Leeds. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoists
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including electrical and mechanical parts
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and cleaning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe crane operation
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering
  • Heavy industrial plant mechanic experience is preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer relations
  • Ability to work at heights responsibly
  • Experience with 3-phase 415vac motors, contactor control circuits, and frequency speed/inverter control devices
  • Knowledge of medium to large drive couplings, brakes, and reduction gearboxes
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
