Job Title: School-based Youth Justice Prevention Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School-based Youth Justice Prevention Officer to join our team at Teqniq Ltd. As a key member of our Prevention Team, you will work collaboratively with young people, parents, and carers in school settings to improve engagement with education, attendance, and support young people on their education journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people to improve their attendance in school and engagement in their education placement.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including schools, safeguarding teams, healthcare providers, CAMHS, and the Police to achieve the best outcomes for children in education settings.
  • Develop creative, strengths-based approaches to working with children and families.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to enhance skills, knowledge, and experience of working with additional support needs in education settings.
  • Work within the school and community, with the ability to work from home at times where duties allow.
  • Travel citywide, requiring a car driver's license or access to appropriate transport.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, parents, and carers in school settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of child development and education principles.
  • Ability to develop creative, strengths-based approaches to working with children and families.
