About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant to join our Group Expense Management Team in our Finance Division at St. James's Place. The successful candidate will be responsible for effective procurement activity, aligning with our long-term business strategy and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-boarding of suppliers from a commercial point of view, aligned to our relevant policies, processes, and ensuring the best commercial and financial outcome for St. James's Place.
  • Ongoing contract management through effective performance measurement, spend monitoring, and ensuring any contractual obligations of third parties are fulfilled.
  • Ensuring procurement best practice is followed and maintained within regulatory, legislative, or business frameworks.
  • Ensuring the relationships between the Procurement Consultants and business SME's are productive and steer relevant St. James's Place policies with a commercial lens.
  • Collaborating with other Procurement Consultants to ensure team capabilities and capacity are aligned and processes are streamlined.
Requirements
  • Expert procurement knowledge and experience, through the implementation and application of best practice using procurement technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to third-party suppliers and detailed commercial and contract drafting expertise.
  • Influential at an Executive and Senior level to optimize commercial value and risk mitigation.

  • Non-Contributory Pension – 10% (increasing with length of service up to 15%) with further pension matching.
  • Parental leave – 6 months full pay.
  • 28 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays (based on full-time equivalent) with the option to buy up to an additional 5 days holiday.
