About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civils Operative to join our Southern Water Sewerage Team at Clancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking multiple activities, including deep excavations, caissons, installation of sewer pipelines and manholes, ensuring minimal disruption to residents, as well as meeting project targets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures while taking responsibility for the safety, delivery, and quality of work undertaken.
  • Commence works once fully satisfied that all risks have been removed or minimized.
  • Carry out activities in accordance with RAMS and highlight or escalate deviations. Comply with NRSWA / NJUG / HAUC and client specifications.
  • Accurately and timely complete site paperwork. Coordinate delivery/pickup of materials as required.
  • Cooperate in any incident, accident, or damage investigation.
  • Ensure all interactions with colleagues, customers, and members of the public are polite and professional.
  • Lead by example to others on site.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in a similar role and skilled in using a variety of tools and machinery. A safety-focused attitude and excellent communication skills are essential. A full and valid driving license is required, as well as many of the following tickets:

  • NRSWA operatives card
  • Water hygiene card
  • NPORS/CPCS (Excavator)
  • CSCS card
  • Underground service detection
  • Deep excavation training
  • Confined spaces
  • First aid qualification
  • Abrasive wheels
