Civils Operative

We're seeking a skilled Civils Operative to join our Southern Water Sewerage Team.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for undertaking multiple activities, including deep excavations, caisson installation, and sewer pipeline installation. You'll work closely with our site foreman to ensure minimal disruption to residents and meet project targets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Responsible for the safety, delivery, and quality of work undertaken.
  • Carrying out activities in accordance with RAMS and highlighting deviations.
  • Accurate and timely completion of site paperwork.
  • Coordinating delivery and pickup of materials as required.
  • Cooperating in incident, accident, or damage investigations.
  • Ensuring all interactions with colleagues, customers, and the public are polite and professional.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Skilled in using a variety of tools and machinery.
  • Safety-focused with a great attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • A full and valid driving license is essential.
  • Hold as many of the following tickets as possible: NRSWA operatives card, Water hygiene card, NPORS/CPCS (Excavator), CSCS card, Underground service detection, Deep excavation training, Confined spaces, First aid qualification, Abrasive wheels.
