Deputy Director of Service Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our leadership team as a Deputy Director of Service Operations. This role is a key part of our team, responsible for monitoring and forecasting demand and capacity, and ensuring patient access issues are identified and resolved promptly.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the organisation and management of administration staff within the service, including line management, staff performance, and staffing issues.
- Plan and recruit staff to meet access, activity, and quality targets within available resources, working closely with Operational Service Managers.
- Oversee junior doctors, including rota management, annual leave, and study leave approvals, as well as recruitment and selection.
- Develop and lead quality initiatives across all services, aligning with local and national priorities.
- Support the recruitment process for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Contribute to the preparation of business and operational plans.
- Manage PALS enquiries and complaints.

Requirements- Experience in managing admin services within the NHS.
- Management or leadership qualification.
- Experience of Transformation within the NHS.
- Experience of using Excel and manipulating data.
- Experience of critical analysis and interpretation of complex data.
- Proven track record of delivering performance to deadlines.
- Knowledge of transformation tools.
- Experience developing admin processes in an NHS service.
- Experience of managing service redesign.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills.
- Good understanding of service redesign methodology.
- Evidence of implementing service changes.
