Government AI Strategy Consultant

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is dedicated to enhancing revenue, adoption, and growth across various account segments, from small and mid-market to enterprise-level clients, including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team collaborates with prominent organizations to deliver exceptional support aimed at ensuring customer success.

The Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) International Central Government team is in search of a Government AI Strategy Consultant to spearhead AI-driven initiatives with public sector clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience as an AI expert, having successfully executed large-scale projects within government and regulated sectors, and recognized as a global authority in AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to public sector entities on complex challenges.
  • Promote effective AI methodologies at the executive level.
  • Cultivate relationships across various public sector organizations.
  • Deliver thought leadership and training initiatives in AI for operational leaders.
  • Create AI solution frameworks for clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

About the Team: The International Central Government Team (ICG) supports operational leaders in expediting modernization efforts through cloud technology. The team is led by former public service executives who leverage their expertise to assist clients in achieving successful digital transformations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience leading government transformation initiatives.
  • More than 10 years in government financial modeling and business case formulation.
  • At least 5 years in government digital service delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to articulate value propositions and visions for change to senior public sector stakeholders.
  • Experience with open data implementation and mapping.
  • In-depth technical expertise in AI and machine learning.
  • Significant experience in international leadership roles.
  • Established record of fostering relationships with senior executives.
  • MBA or equivalent educational background is preferred.
