The Spinal Surgery Clinical Fellow role is an exciting opportunity for medical professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in spinal surgery.

Role Summary

We invite applications for the Clinical Fellow position within our esteemed institution. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training in spinal surgery, working alongside a dedicated team of specialists in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Participating in surgical procedures under the guidance of experienced surgeons.
  • Contributing to the ongoing research initiatives within the spinal surgery unit.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Gaining exposure to complex spinal cases and enhancing surgical skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong commitment to learning and professional development.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly at the registrar level.
  • MRCS qualification and full registration with the General Medical Council.

Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be advantageous:

  • FRCS (Tr&Orth or SN) or equivalent.
  • Evidence of participation in clinical audits and governance.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring junior staff.
