Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Event Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Event Manager to lead our international expansion delivery. As an integral part of our management team, you will be responsible for managing international projects, collaborating with clients, and developing comprehensive event strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives, preferences, and budgetary constraints.
- Develop comprehensive event strategies, including concept development, event timelines, and production plans.
- Oversee event design and ensure it aligns with the client's vision and brand identity.
- Manage a team of event planners and coordinators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and event service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage budgets to optimize resources without compromising on quality.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including setup, registration, catering, audio-visual requirements, and more.
- Anticipate potential challenges and implement contingency plans to ensure a successful event.
- Work with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) at an events agency as an event manager, with experience in conferences, exhibitions, and events for the corporate market.
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of event planning best practices, trends, and industry delivery standards.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, think critically, and make quick decisions during event execution.
- A passion for creativity and innovation, consistently seeking new ideas to enhance event experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Proficiency in event management software and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting and Cvent Office 365.
