About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Peer Support Worker. As a Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals who have experienced mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences.
  • Provide peer support and guidance, helping individuals to identify and work towards their recovery goals.
  • Support service users to overcome fears and anxieties, promoting a sense of empowerment and control.
  • Undertake administrative duties, including updating patient records, to ensure effective and timely care.
Requirements
  • Experience of having received secondary care mental health services and a strong understanding of the recovery process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel may be required.
