About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our operational leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights and technical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the operational leadership team to review and monitor outcomes/KPIs, utilizing data to inform strategic decisions and drive improvement through technical development.
  • Identify technical needs and themes for individual colleagues, creating and delivering tailored technical development programs to support their growth and success.
  • Serve as a referral and escalation point for colleagues and suppliers with technical queries, providing expert guidance and support to ensure seamless resolution.
  • Support the technical lead in cultivating the right capability for their functions, including the delivery of new colleague training and developing individuals through the competency framework.
  • Work collaboratively with team leaders to build technical capability across teams and support the development of a technical strategy for their functions.
  • Utilize data gathered through audits, team leader coaching, and control reports to identify systemic and thematic development requirements, creating and implementing solutions to drive business improvement.
  • Manage a high-value and complex personal caseload, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of technical queries and issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments that may impact our subrogated recovery performance, providing technical input to support the development of strategies to mitigate risks.
