Finegreen is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to support a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This is a long-term interim requirement for an initial period of 12 months. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working within Oncology, demonstrated by recent employment within the NHS or wider UK health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing expert advice and support to patients with breast cancer and their families, guiding them from diagnosis through all stages of treatment and follow-up care;
  2. Managing a personal caseload, coordinating care, and ensuring effective communication with all professionals involved in the patient's journey;
  3. Communicating and working in partnership with all members of the MDTs to ensure a seamless pathway of care for patients from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care;
  4. Being an autonomous practitioner, managing own caseload and working with colleagues to provide the highest possible standards of care for patients diagnosed with Breast cancer;
  5. Ensuring the Macmillan Holistic Needs Assessments and Care Plans are completed for all patients at key points of their cancer treatment pathway, requiring liaising with and ensuring referral and appropriate signposting onto allied health professionals and services as required;
  6. Being competent in managing your own timetable and caseload, managing any nurse-led clinics with minimal supervision from the Breast consultants;
Requirements:
  1. Current registration with the NMC, with relevant post-registration qualification in Breast care, oncology, or palliative care;
  2. Significant experience working within Oncology demonstrated by recent employment within the NHS or wider UK health services;
  3. Experience and understanding of the key worker role in cancer care and hold working knowledge of the Cancer Reform Strategy;
