Key Responsibilities:

Manage all facets of cost management and reporting from project inception to completion independently. Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Provide precise cost estimates and budget forecasts. Conduct thorough cost analyses and risk evaluations. Collaborate with project teams to achieve financial objectives. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and clients. Deliver high-quality services, ensuring all cost management outputs align with client requirements. Advise on and implement effective procurement strategies. Guide clients on suitable contract options. Prepare tender documentation and oversee the tendering process. Assess and report on tender submissions. Conduct cost reporting and prepare cash flow forecasts. Evaluate completed work and facilitate payment arrangements. Finalize accounts and settlements. Identify new business development opportunities to drive growth. Support Business Unit Directors in achieving strategic objectives.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience and Skills:

Experience in both pre and post-contract phases. Proven track record in cost management within a consultancy environment. Strong background in cost estimating and planning. Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies. Practical experience with construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract management. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Methodical approach to problem-solving and work processes. Strong negotiation, financial, and numerical skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Cost X is advantageous (training available).

Qualifications:

Degree qualification. MRICS or working towards it is preferred.
