Gleeds is seeking a dedicated Senior Cost Manager to enhance our dynamic team.

With a robust portfolio of projects, you will engage with prominent clients across various industries, including Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Higher Education, Commercial, Retail, Life Sciences, and Office Refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of all facets of cost management and reporting from project inception to completion. Foster positive engagement with clients, nurturing and expanding customer relationships. Generate precise cost estimates and budget forecasts. Perform cost analysis and risk evaluations. Collaborate with project teams to achieve financial objectives. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and clients. Deliver high-quality services, ensuring cost management outputs align with client expectations. Advise on and implement procurement strategies. Guide clients on suitable contract options. Prepare tender documentation and oversee the tendering process. Assess and report on tender submissions. Conduct cost reporting and develop cash flow forecasts. Evaluate completed work and facilitate payment arrangements. Finalize accounts. Identify new business development prospects and promote growth across various business units. Assist Business Unit Directors in achieving organizational goals.

Candidate Profile:

Desired Experience and Skills:

Experience in both pre and post-contract phases. Proven track record in cost management within a consultancy environment. Strong background in cost estimation and planning. Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies. Practical experience with construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract management. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Methodical approach to problem-solving and work processes. Excellent negotiation, financial acumen, and numerical skills. Proficient in IT, particularly MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Cost X is advantageous (training will be provided).

Educational Qualifications:

Degree qualification required. MRICS accreditation (or in progress) is preferred.
