About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Director to join our team at TSG, a leading Managed IT Services provider. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and delivering exceptional results in the middle and upper segments of the SME market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seek out new business opportunities with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure solutions, within defined guidelines and timescales.
  • Deliver consistently against all targets, building and maintaining a substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities to underpin target achievement.
  • Ensure accurate recording and updating of pipeline activity within CRM, thoroughly researching and understanding individual market sectors to identify potential customer targets.
  • Accurately forecast sales by month and quarter, demonstrating TSG's product and services suite clearly and differentiating TSG's offering within the market.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms as required, in line with company guidelines, and track progress against targets on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all customers receive a professional handover from Business Development to Account Management at the appropriate time, continually developing your knowledge and skills to ensure they remain current and relevant.
  • Promote a professional image at all times, ensuring completion of all required Sales documentation and adherence to all Sales processes.
Requirements
  • Extensive business development experience, with a proven background selling Microsoft Azure solutions.
  • A number of years consecutive over-achievement against individual targets, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to build rapport and good working relationships with key stakeholders, and adapt to, embrace, and lead change.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Presentation Skills, commercial awareness, and a broad understanding of business issues, with an understanding of needs-based sales methodology.
  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills, and a proven ability to multi-task.
