Job Title: Business Development Director

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Financial Services sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for and develop new business pipeline in the Financial Services sector.
  • Lead sales efforts to secure new business with target clients.
  • Develop and deliver client-facing presentations, proposals, and tender responses.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with channel partners.
  • Communicate the value of Version 1's products and services to clients.
  • Qualify sales opportunities to ensure they are winnable.
  • Manage pipeline, financial forecasting, and activity tracking to achieve financial KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of solution-based consultative selling in the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of key business-technology topics relevant to Financial Services firms.
  • Experience leading successful digital transformation sales engagements.
  • Ability to develop and explain compelling value propositions.
  • Experience building and maintaining trusted client relationships.
  • Tenacity, drive, and individual ambition to succeed in a sales environment.
Experience:
  • Extensive experience in a sales environment with a strong background in the Financial Services sector.
  • Experience working as a successful business development director delivering IT services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector.
  • Influencing skills to form and lead teams across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
