Business Development Director

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Financial Services sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Prospect for and develop new business pipeline in the Financial Services sector.
- Lead sales efforts to secure new business with target clients.
- Develop and deliver client-facing presentations, proposals, and tender responses.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with channel partners.
- Communicate the value of Version 1's products and services to clients.
- Qualify sales opportunities to ensure they are winnable.
- Manage pipeline, financial forecasting, and activity tracking to achieve financial KPIs.
- Proven track record of solution-based consultative selling in the Financial Services sector.
- Knowledge of key business-technology topics relevant to Financial Services firms.
- Experience leading successful digital transformation sales engagements.
- Ability to develop and explain compelling value propositions.
- Experience building and maintaining trusted client relationships.
- Tenacity, drive, and individual ambition to succeed in a sales environment.
- Extensive experience in a sales environment with a strong background in the Financial Services sector.
- Experience working as a successful business development director delivering IT services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector.
- Influencing skills to form and lead teams across a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
