Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our team of field-based Fire & Security Engineers and the Operations office. As the Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring customers are serviced on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, focusing on customer service, retention, and growth.
  • Manage, motivate, and support field engineers to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to deliver exceptional service.
  • Distribute and allocate work to ensure completion within agreed timescales and to the highest standards.
  • Monitor and report weekly on key deliverables and KPIs in line with our NSI and BAFE accreditations and business targets.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly and ensure delivery of the highest standards of service.
  • Monitor materials and equipment to ensure stock levels are correct and manage the fleet to ensure adherence to standards and maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure best price practice and stock availability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar operations role managing engineers, ideally gained within the fire protection or security industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Clear, effective, and influential communication skills to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Leadership, motivational, and coaching skills to drive team performance and growth.
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft and experience of using CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
