Job Summary:

The Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority is seeking a highly organized and communicative Water Supplies Administrative Assistant to join our Assets Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for scheduling Hydrant Inspections, coordinating with Fire Hydrant Technicians, and acting as a main point of contact for internal and external enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the scheduling of Hydrant Inspections and share relevant schedules with the team of Fire Hydrant Technicians.
  • Forward hydrant defects and schemes to the water companies in a timely manner.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
  • Previous experience in administrative tasks and proficiency in MS Office programs.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based at the Poundbury Support Offices, with flexibility to work from home, DWFRS Stations, or Support Offices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to discuss a flexible working arrangement that suits their needs. The role requires attendance at Poundbury Support Offices for key activities and meetings, approximately 1-2 days a week.
