About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Team Leader to join our Minor Civils Refurbishment team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplined team of two to six people, overseeing the execution of minor civil engineering solutions, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians in the execution of minor civil engineering projects, including mechanical works, excavations, and installations.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct health and safety inspections, issue permits, allocate labor, manage sub-contractors, purchase materials, and ensure safe working practices on site.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements
- Strong background in minor civil engineering, with experience in managing teams and projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Valid UK driving license and experience operating plant machinery, such as excavators or dumpers.
- Preferred qualifications include Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Course (CITB SSSTS) and confined space training.
