Overview: The Children and Family Wellbeing Service is an integral part of Lancashire County Council's Education and Children's Services, dedicated to providing early assistance and support to children and young individuals aged 0-19 years, including those up to 25 years with special educational needs and disabilities.
Mission: Our mission is to reduce the impact of disadvantages faced by children in Lancashire by engaging with them, their families, and their communities as early as possible. This proactive approach ensures that families receive the appropriate support at the right time, preventing issues from escalating.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of the needs of children, young people, and their families in accordance with the Early Help Assessment Framework.
- Implement targeted interventions as part of a collaborative action plan aimed at achieving positive outcomes.
- Manage a caseload of children and families with complex and enduring needs, focusing on intensive support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case notes within the designated Case Management IT system, adhering to professional recording standards.
Approach: Our approach emphasizes the strengths and protective factors within families, fostering positive relationships where the voices of children and family members are valued and respected. We aim to collaborate effectively with multi-agency early help partners across Lancashire to ensure the safety, health, and potential of children and families.
