Overview:
We are seeking a Sales and Tendering Specialist to manage the complete service portfolio for Transformer Services throughout the UK and Ireland, with the objective of maximizing market potential.
This position entails engaging with both new and existing clients to secure contracts, define scopes of work, prepare cost estimates, and collaborate with various departments within the organization. You will interact with market managers, the tendering team, and operational and technical teams. Your role will involve crafting persuasive and innovative product value propositions through client visits.
Utilize your interpersonal skills to foster and enhance relationships, demonstrating confidence, clarity, and effective communication to meet business objectives, attract new clients, and expand market segments through strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving sales and tendering initiatives for Transformer Services.
- Executing the local product marketing strategy.
- Meeting potential clients to present offerings, confirm client needs, articulate product value propositions, and manage tendering processes.
- Conducting market analysis alongside the Sales team, responsible for forecasts and comprehensive business/marketing plans for designated portfolio areas.
- Meeting business objectives through regular assessments of sales and tendering activities and implementing necessary improvement plans.
- Understanding customer service principles and their impact on business operations.
- Ensuring adherence to Quality Management Systems, Safety Procedures, and Accounting Policies.
- Embodying core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for personal actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.
- A Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and/or tendering.
- Preferably from a background in the Power Engineering sector, focusing on service and after-sales.
- A strong enthusiasm for sales in a technical environment, experienced in prospecting and closing deals.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce and digital marketing platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Willingness to travel and engage frequently with clients, primarily within designated markets.
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
