About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Tendering Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving the Transformers business through sales and tendering. Your primary focus will be on implementing the local product marketing strategy, visiting potential clients to present our offerings, and agreeing client requirements, product value propositions, and product positioning and tendering of defined scope.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving Transformers business through sales and tendering.
  • Implementing the local product marketing strategy.
  • Visiting potential clients to present offerings, agreeing client requirements, product value propositions, and product positioning and tendering of defined scope.
  • Involved in the market analysis with the Sales team, responsible for forecasts and detailed business/marketing plans for allocated areas of the portfolio.
  • Achieving business targets through regular review of sales and tendering activities and implementation of improvement/focus plans as needed.
  • Understanding Customer Service principles and their effect on the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System, Safety Procedures, and Accountancy Policies and approval procedures.

Your background:

  • A Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or similar, with 2 years of experience in Sales and/or tendering.
  • Preferably from a background in a Power Engineering industry with a focus on service and after-sales.
  • A passion for sales in a technical setting and familiar with prospecting and closing deals with customers.
  • Familiar with sales and marketing tools such as Sales Force/digital marketing tools – LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Travelling and frequent interaction with customers are expected, mainly within the allocated markets (UK and IE).
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and customer-relationship-building skills.
