About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Tendering Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy UK Limited. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and maximizing market potential for our Transformer Service portfolio across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement local product marketing strategies to drive business growth
  • Visit potential clients to present our offering, agree client requirements, and tender defined scope
  • Collaborate with the sales team to analyze market trends and develop forecasts and business plans
  • Achieve business targets through regular review of sales and tendering activities and implementation of improvement plans
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems, safety procedures, and accountancy policies

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional with a passion for sales in a technical setting. You will have a degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or a similar field and at least 2 years of experience in sales and/or tendering. You will also have a collaborative approach, strong communication and customer-relationship-building skills, and be familiar with sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
