About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Debt Advice Specialist to join our team at Harris Hill. As a leading charity recruitment specialists and a certified B Corp, we are committed to high and ever-improving standards of equitable and inclusive recruitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Expert Debt Advice: Provide professional, impartial, and outcome-focused advice to clients on income maximisation, budgeting, priority debts, unsecured debts, and debt solutions.
  • Identify Client Vulnerabilities: Recognize and prioritize household emergencies, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and compliant records using our case management system, adhering to necessary guidance and rules such as FCA, GDPR, and organizational policies.
  • Team Support and Development: Support senior advisors and supervisors with duties, act as a deputy in their absence, and provide coaching and mentorship to junior and trainee team members.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need an Accredited Debt Advice Qualification to Caseworker Level, with a minimum one-year experience of providing comprehensive debt advice. Alternatively, you may have an accredited Generalist Adviser qualification with at least one year's experience and be willing to complete the relevant Debt Adviser training qualification.

You will have a proactive approach, ability to manage multiple cases, and deliver on project KPIs. You will also have the proven ability to build rapport with clients, deal calmly with difficult situations, and maintain consistent attention to detail.
